The Crete Golf club is a marvellous addition to Europe's rich reservoir of courses and  will soon be regarded as one of the finest tests in the whole of the southern Mediterranean.

“The Crete Golf Club” in Hersonissos, is an 18-hole golf course originally designed in 2003 by the golf course architect Bob Hunt , is best described as a desert golf course hewn out of rolling landscape little more than half an hour from the international airport of Heraklion.

It boasts a series of memorable holes that will test every aspect of a golfer's repertoire and offers stunning views over mountainous landscape that has hardly changed since the Minoan era back in 2600 to 1100 BC.

The views on the back nine are incomparable and so is the service offered to visitors. Staff can supply a fine selection of quality hire clubs. They will go out of their way to fix up games for single golfers and can even arrange transportation as and when required. The standard of service at Crete Golf Club is exemplary and adds a great deal to what is already a special experience.

The Crete Golf Club is located in Crete, Greece and is located approximately 24 km east of the International Airport `Nikos Kazantzakis` of Heraklion and 7 km south of the famous summer holiday destination of Hersonissos.

How to find Crete Golf

From Heraklion
Drive East on the "New National Road" , the E75, with direction to Agios Nikolaos. At the intersection of Lassithi plateau turn right (south) with direction to Kastelli, 3.5 Km. The Crete Golf Club lies on your right hand side.
Driving time: Approximately 30 minutes.

From Hersonissos - Analipsi
Pass through Hersonissos with direction to Heraklion taking the "Old National Road". At the intersection of Lassithi plateau turn left (south) with direction to Kastelli, 3.5 Km. The Crete Golf Club lies on your right hand side..
Driving time: Approximately 8 minutes.

Transfer
Individually by private or rented car or taxi.

The Crete Golf Academy

The Golf Academy boasts a double-ended 300-yard covered driving range where visitors can hone their games, either individually or as part of an organised Golf School. The Academy also features a short game area, two practice putting greens and an indoor classroom complete with state-of-the-art video equipment. Crete Golf Club offers individual and group lessons, both for beginners and more experienced golfers. On-cource lessons are also available.
